Mark, way cool paintings! You have inspired me to get back out and do more night paintings myself.
This is my favorite of the group but I also liked "Cook Street Maples", "Burns Road Nocturne (Dove Creek)" and "Condensory Bridge, Spring Night" a lot. I also enjoyed all of your "normal" paintings...
Thanks for stopping by my site. I now have you linked. Keep up the night painting - you have some terrific stuff going there!
Mark, OOPS! when I used the word "normal" in the previous comment, I wasn't singling out your Meat Paintings (I'm a big fan of Soutine) or the Rural Disasters - definitely not normal but very interesting themes. Great work. - Robert
An extension of my landscape paintings and pointing toward the rural disasters, these were painted at night on site, either under an available light source such as a street light or from the relative comfort of the front seat of my car using the dim interior light and a steering wheel easel I designed and built for this purpose.
